Hi, I’m John. I started Neuro Physiotherapy Solutions in 2022. I wanted create a physiotherapy service that would enable my clients to achieve their goals by challenging their existing movement strategies in way they hadn’t been tested before! My interest is in treating people with complex neurological conditions and utilising my years of experience in rehabilitation, to maximise their potential through a holistic, client centered approach.

I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2009. I started my career at the Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS Foundation Trust where I developed a specialist interest in Neurological Rehabilitation. I spent nearly ten years in total working initially as a junior physiotherapist across many different disciplines, gaining valuable expertise before specialising as a senior neurological physiotherapist As a senior physiotherapist, I initially worked for nearly 4 years in the acute stroke service before moving on to stroke rehabilitation. This role also included a Neuro Outpatient Service which allowed me to broaden my experience of other neurological conditions.
Following my departure from the NHS, I decided to take the leap into private practice, taking the post of Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist within a private neurological rehabilitation hospital in South Yorkshire. During this time I was able to assess, treat and develop complex treatment plans tailored to a wide variety of neurological pathologies. This experience bolstered my knowledge and increased my skill set further.
During this time I was exposed to many Medico Legal Cases and the opportunity to link with Case Managers and other external sources such as solicitors, specialist seating companies and suppliers of bespoke splints and equipment. My inventory of people and companies involved in the care and rehabilitation of my clients was developing and growing, enabling me to progress my experience in specialist rehabilitation resources.
About this time, I began to show an interest in Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and its use in neurological rehabilitation. From here I was able to make links with several companies who provided equipment to deliver this exciting and effective type of therapy. I have developed strong relationships with companies such as Anatomical Concepts, Ottobock, Bioness and WalkAide with whom I have worked in partnership with to deliver a tailored approach to therapy and boost outcomes, taking the client’s rehabilitation to the next level.
I have spent the last 2 and a half year working both in private clinics and in the domiciliary setting, continuing to further enhance my skills, knowledge and contacts in the private sector.

My interest is working with clients with complex neurological conditions. I aim to maximise their potential to change by challenging their current abilities, to maximise their potential. I work in partnership with my clients to establish clear, achievable goals through holistic and client centered interventions. I use an evidenced based approach to rehabilitation with a strong focus on movement analysis in order to identify potential weaknesses and compensations.
I maintain my continuing professional development by attending courses including Neurofit, Bobath and I am BBTA Bobath Trained.
